two girls laughing in a field of grass

The Pressley Girls have been working hard to pursue their musical dreams over the last several months. They’re becoming well known for their musical ability, their two-part harmony, and their humor.

About a week ago the Oatmeal Fairy paid Chitter a visit while she was trying to practice her fiddle.

I hope you enjoyed a peek into the music and the humor!

  1. Tipper,
Dr. Eichenbaum got called on an Emergency before I got there, so I got to come back to Murphy on August 5th at 1:30 and 1:40 for a couple more tests.

My friend Ed Ammons stated in his comment that oatmeal didn’t taste right without salt. I eat salt on Oatmeal too, not sugar. Some folks eat Oatmeal and Rice with Sugar on it. Mama always cooked Oatmeal with salt, I guess it’s what you were raised on.

One of the first times I ever saw, was down at Jean’s with my young granddaughter and daughter, before Traci could even walk. Jean poured a bowl of oatmeal out in the kitchen floor, (a germ would have a hard time surviving there, she kept the cleanest floors I ever saw.) and gave her a big and little spoon, and told Traci to go to it. Jean had youngins of her own, at one time, and that would keep them busy for a long time. I never thought about that. …Ken

  2. I used to eat oatmeal raw. Pour them in a bowl with milk and sugar and chow down. You know how awful oatmeal tastes if you forget to add a little salt? That doesn’t happen when you eat them raw. They are even good without the milk. A little dry but still tolerable.
Oatmeal massaged into the scalp is good for dandruff. I’ll bet Katie don’t have dandruff after that treatment.

  3. My girls would have never , smiled, laughed or continued a practice session on anything while the other one was present. They would have been yelling, “Mom, make her leave me alone!” I’m so glad your girls don’t do that!

  4. How wonderful to have a sister. I always wanted one. No daughters either. Boo Hoo! Always enjoy your girls, their accomplishments and “Tomfoolery “. What fun!

  5. Ah, and somehow I had the idea that Chatter might be fun impaired a bit. Now I know better. 🙂

  6. Tipper,
It’s good to see them girls acting silly. Chatter just proved that by shaking that box of Oatmeal and dancing around Chitter. Nice to see the change in them. …Ken

  7. The girls really are funny, they play off each other in a happy and delightful way. I also will add that their singing talent has really grown and is growing still. If they set their minds on a musical career I expect that that is exactly what will happen!
They are smart, beautiful, and talented, that’s a good combination!

  8. ohhh tipper I love that…just the joyful music and sister love…bless you all…have a wonderful week
