old lady and two girls

Granny is doing better and has been moved from ICU to a regular room. She is in good spirits and is anxious to get back home to her bed and her crochet. I wholeheartedly agree on the bed part 🙂

The hospital staff are taking such good care of Granny. We are very thankful for each of them and for you too.

We can never thank you enough for your prayers and concern for Granny.

When the book signing event in Ringgold GA for April 20 was cancelled a couple of weeks ago I was very disappointed. I guess it was meant to be because I wouldn’t have been able to go anyway since Granny has been so sick.

Hopefully I will be back to regular posting soon.

There is a lot going on in Wilson Holler: Granny’s illness, Ira, Corrie getting a new house, the garden planting AND the big garden . . . I know it is your nature to look after everyone else, Tipper; but please don’t forget to look after yourself. You have become the central core of the family and the glue that binds it so closely. I you become ill – God Forbid – that glue will come unstuck. Take care of Tipper so Tipper can take care of everyone else.

Looking like she’s going to get to see and hold her coming soon, next new great grandchild…Yay! for her!
I’m wondering what she thought of that chopper ride? (I recall her saying in a prior video that going to Walmart shopping was her idea of a taking a trip, being the homebody that she is)maybe someday when things get settled down you will let us know what she thought of her ride in the sky.
Yes…God who knows all does work things out for His children. His Word teaches that all things work to the good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose and that the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous avaleth much.
    Go Granny,faithful Granny!

Prayers seem so insignificante to some ppl But they don’t realize the Power it holds!!
Matt and Corie have done a wonderful job keeping the home fires burning, But we miss you. You looked so extremely exhausted on your quick live. If I had known if Granny were hospitalized in my area I would’ve brought you (and) Paul a home cooked meal. Relying on hospital food ……. Blah..
I will continue to lift you ALL in prayer and tell Granny she can’t go anywhere without seeing Corie’s baby. I love that close family connection your family has.
    Stay Blessed, Mary Ann K.

  31. The Universe (God) has an amazing way of correcting itself to meet our needs. I’m close to Granny’s age and I’ve seen it over and over again. I call them “God winks,” and I have no doubt the cancellation of your book signing when Granny needed you most was no coincidence. We just have to rest in knowing God is in control. Continued prayers for Granny and your sweet family.

  32. Thank you Jesus!
Tipper, your story about the book signing being canceled reminds me of the many times I will look back on life’s moments and think, it is not about my timing. On a morning when I just couldn’t seem to get out of the house on time, I found, as I got on the road, there had been a bad car accident on the highway that I had been spared from. Continued prayers for Granny’s
continued recovery, you and your family’s peace, strength and happiness! ❤️

  33. Thank-you for sharing the good news that Granny is making progress & feeling better. I will continue to keep her and all of you in my prayers.

  34. I was thinking the other day about how the Lord had worked things out for the book signing event. Isn’t amazing how He works out all the details of our lives without us even realizing it until a later time or maybe never realizing it. So glad Granny is feeling & doing better. Prayers that she continues to do better and gets back home soon!

  35. It is incredibly thoughtful of you to keep us updated. Prayers continue, not only for her but all those who love her.

  36. Thanks for the update. A lot of us have been praying and wondering about Granny. I was in Mission Hospital in Asheville four times in eight months and always had excellent nurses and doctors. They saved my life at least twice that I was aware of.

  40. So glad things are on the up and up. Take as much time as you need, we’ll be here whenever you make it back!

  41. Good morning, That is GOOD NEWS! Of course we want to be able to reach out and touch, but what will be FOREVER is we hold each other in our hearts. And when it is God and family and loved ones, Tipper, it IS “real posting.” THE real posting. Might this be an opprotunity to post some “Grannyisms?” Having grown up all over the country and world, FOR SURE my Mom and Grandma said things, phrases, that I heard ONLY from them: “Paul, you’re getting too big (acting out) for your britches.” You all are in my heart and prayers. Keep looking UP!

  42. Just something about home, no other place fits us and we fit it so well. So thankful for all the blessings you and yours have been blessed with. We are behind you as I am sure you know.

  48. So relieved to hear Granny is doing better. Praying she will be well enough to go home very soon—everyone loves their own home whether they are sick or well. I know all your lives will be much easier and happier when Granny can come home. One of the most difficult challenges in life is to keep moving forward to take care of your own life when there is hardship created by the sickness of a dear loved one. Granny is so fortunate and blessed to have so many family members so close by to work together in supporting her needs that I know are many right now. The aging process is definitely not for the faint of heart; so, as I said before, when there are multiple family members nearby to share the caregiving it is such a blessing. Praying for you all during this very trying time and beyond. Please give Granny a big hug from me!!!

  49. I have been praying and praying for your mama. This news is so sweet to read this morning. Thank you Tipper. Hopefully, you will all be home in your own beds very soon. Take care…love and God’s blessings to you all.
