Granny is doing better and has been moved from ICU to a regular room. She is in good spirits and is anxious to get back home to her bed and her crochet. I wholeheartedly agree on the bed part 🙂
The hospital staff are taking such good care of Granny. We are very thankful for each of them and for you too.
We can never thank you enough for your prayers and concern for Granny.
When the book signing event in Ringgold GA for April 20 was cancelled a couple of weeks ago I was very disappointed. I guess it was meant to be because I wouldn’t have been able to go anyway since Granny has been so sick.
Hopefully I will be back to regular posting soon.

There is a lot going on in Wilson Holler: Granny’s illness, Ira, Corrie getting a new house, the garden planting AND the big garden . . . I know it is your nature to look after everyone else, Tipper; but please don’t forget to look after yourself. You have become the central core of the family and the glue that binds it so closely. I you become ill – God Forbid – that glue will come unstuck. Take care of Tipper so Tipper can take care of everyone else.

I’m wondering what she thought of that chopper ride? (I recall her saying in a prior video that going to Walmart shopping was her idea of a taking a trip, being the homebody that she is)maybe someday when things get settled down you will let us know what she thought of her ride in the sky.

I call them “God winks,” and I have no doubt the cancellation of your book signing when Granny needed you most was no coincidence. We just have to rest in knowing God is in control. I was thinking the other day about how the Lord had worked things out for the book signing event. Isn’t amazing how He works out all the details of our lives without us even realizing it until a later time or maybe never realizing it. So glad Granny is feeling & doing better. Thanks for the update. A lot of us have been praying and wondering about Granny. I was in Mission Hospital in Asheville four times in eight months and always had excellent nurses and doctors. They saved my life at least twice that I was aware of.
Fantastic news, Tipper! The abundant prayers from so many haven’t stopped and clearly they’ve been felt! Hoping Granny (and you!) can return home to a more normal routine very soon. We’ll continue the prayers out here…you just take care of your precious mother and yourself in the meantime!

Good morning, That is GOOD NEWS! Of course we want to be able to reach out and touch, but what will be FOREVER is we hold each other in our hearts. So relieved to hear Granny is doing better. Praying she will be well enough to go home very soon—everyone loves their own home whether they are sick or well. I know all your lives will be much easier and happier when Granny can come home. One of the most difficult challenges in life is to keep moving forward to take care of your own life when there is hardship created by the sickness of a dear loved one. Granny is so fortunate and blessed to have so many family members so close by to work together in supporting her needs that I know are many right now. The aging process is definitely not for the faint of heart; so, as I said before, when there are multiple family members nearby to share the caregiving it is such a blessing. Praying for you all during this very trying time and beyond. Please give Granny a big hug from me!!!

My Sister Anne went to Emory in Atlanta yesterday, more cancer has been detected, she will need more surgery and more treatment, praise God granny has been moved from ICU to a regular room, I will continue to pray,
