Granny with crochet

Granny was discharged from the hospital yesterday. We are all so happy—of course the person most thrilled is Granny.

About mid morning the doctor said she thought Granny might get to go home. We both got so excited, but I said we better tamp down our enthusiasm or we might get disappointed. I told Granny at the very least this means you get to go home tomorrow.

Our hopes were not dashed, they let us go about 2:00 p.m. Granny made the ride home fine and said she enjoyed seeing the mountains all dressed in green again.

As we neared home she could barely believe the changes that have happened since she left home 19 days ago for a lengthy hospital stay. Most trees are fully leafed out and blooms are scattered here and there—Granny said it all made her very happy.

Another thing that made her very happy was sleeping in her very own bed.

Thank you so much for all the prayers, loves, and kindness you’ve shown Granny and the rest of us. We appreciate you more than you will ever know!
