Granny doesn’t do much Christmas decorating these days, but boy she did when I was a girl.
Our whole house would be full of Christmas cheer—right down to the bedrooms. I got so excited when Granny dragged all the boxes of decorations out and started the annual beautification project.
Often Granny would have new things she’d made, but there was always the old standards too.
The year she learned to macrame there were new trees, angels, basket holders, and wall hangings to use. I still have the pink tree and silent night hangings that went above my bed.
One of my favorite stories from when Granny was a girl was the Christmas her and her sister Geneaive decorated the whole house with holly leaves. She said they hung them on any spare nail they could find and draped the branches across pictures on the wall. I said what did your mother say about all the holly? Granny said “Oh she loved anything us kids did.”
Later this week I hope to help Granny put out her little table top tree and the few other things she uses in the living room. She said she was anxious to get everything decorated but wanted to wait till after Thanksgiving even though her Christmas curtains have been up for over a month 🙂
Last week I took Granny back for a check up to see how her recent tests turned out. The news wasn’t good. Granny’s cancer has shown up in a lymp node that was previously clear. The good news is the tumor hasn’t returned and she’s not having any side effects from the enlarged lymp node. Given very few choices because of her age and other health issues Granny decided to just leave things as they are and pray for a slow progression. She has another great grandbaby on the way (my nephew’s) so she’s hoping to make it till next spring to see the newest member of our family.

Oh, Tipper.
I’m so sorry to hear that sad news about Granny. She is so sweet. I so love listening to her sing with Paul, what a sweet voice she has. All my love and prayers for Granny and you all.
Prayers for all the needs of our Blind Pig and Acorn family and especially for Granny’s health. Prayers she will feel well enough to crochet something for her new great grand on the way and be here to see it born and hold it in her arms while she sings over that precious little. Btw, Tipper, when cleaning outside at my dear Mother’s house, we found 2 rusty cast iron skillets. Don’t know how they ended up on a back patio in the weather, but please tell me how to save them. My sister wanted to throw them away but I told her I thought I knew someone who would know how to save them. God bless us everyone.
Prayers for Granny.
I’m so sorry to hear about Granny. I’m trying to catch up on your videos. My husband was taken to the hospital on Thanksgiving and was just moved to a rehab last night (12/4). I sure hope we can get him back on his feet and be home for Christmas. I am staying at the rehab facility with him as I did in the hospital. He is having comlications with his Parkinson’s. Prayers appreciated.
Cathy-sorry to hear that. I will pray for your husband and for you!!
Prayers lifted for Granny; all the family are also in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers, Tipper.
We will be praying for Granny. It’s been a blessing to watch your interviews with her and read what you’ve written about her. She is such a beautiful person!
We will be praying for Granny. She is such a beautiful person and I’ve been blessed to watch your interviews with her and read what you’ve written about her over the years.
Tipper I’m so sorry about Granny. Thank you for sharing her with all of us. She is a very special lady and my prayers are with you all. Would you please give her a hug for me.
Tipper, I am just now reading this post. Thank you for your bravery in telling us the not-good news. I have prayed for Granny and you all. And I will continue to ask God to heal, comfort and provide in ways only He can. (((((Tipper, Granny, and the Whole Family))))).
Christmas is my favorite holiday! The music, lights, decorations, Christmas church services, the cooking of special foods and treats are such a delight!
I’m praying for granny and for all of you.
Merry Christmas to All!
Being one of Granny’s Prayer warriors, I think it is safe to say these are some Prayin’ gang. God’s Blessings for all of you guys.
Dear Tipper I’m truly sorry to hear the news about Granny. Sorry this is late, I’m still running behind. I will keep y’all in my prayers.
Prayers for Granny & all the family. Take care and God bless
I am praying for Granny & your whole family. I especially love the videos of Granny & Paul singing hymns. Now that cancer has entered my own life, spending Christmas at home ( & NOT in the hospital!) with family has always been important to me, but this year makes it extra special. I’m praying for very slow progression for your beloved mom, & that you all enjoy Christmas. Family time is the most precious time.
LJ-praying for your health issues too!
Praying for Granny and all of you (and all of us). We love her too! I am going through this with my sister and it is a very profound chapter in our lives. We should all live every day and enjoy every moment with our loved ones. I love that she is wanting to celebrate Christmas and enjoy this time with all of you and the new babies. For those that we have lost, the memories are there and we can cherish those. Love to Granny and all of you, too.
Kathy-sorry to hear that. I will pray for your sister.
My thoughts and prayers for Granny and your family.
Prayers, good thoughts, & xtry hugs for Granny. Such a loving Lady. & we all love her right back. What a sweet spirit, God has surely blessed her. She is a strong woman, she’s been the Energizer Bunny.
Prayers for peace for you Tipper & your whole family. God is the ultimate healer. Thankyou for sharing with us.
Praying for sweet Granny. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you all.
Please give Granny an extra hug for me. I love her dearly and I’ll be praying for her and all the family. God is Gracious and so Good and He loves Granny very much. You already know that. Today I got out in my yard and brought in some greenery and I thought of you and the way you inspire me to get back in the Christmas Spirit when I need it the most. My precious Daddy went to Heaven on December 6, 1973 and my precious Mother went to Heaven on December 28, 2016 and I miss them especially in December. Thank you for doing all you do to share the Christmas Spirit now and for sharing your day to day activities that you do with your family. Merry Christmas my dear friend.
Tipper, your mama is the sweetest lady. I will pray that God will watch over her, you, and your entire family. ❤️
Praying for precious Granny!♥️
Prayers for sweet Granny. May God bless you and keep you all.
A cancer diagnosis is such hard news to hear, especially around this time of year. My husband got his diagnosis a few weeks before Christmas over five years ago and has gone through many chemo treatments and bladder scrapes, he has Bladder cancer and just had a that some more tumors scraped last month. The cancer is back and was told he is running out of treatment options so looking at getting the bladder removed this spring. It’s been waiting for the next shoe to fall after all these years. May the Good Lord continue to Bless Sweet Granny.
Kimberly-I will pray for your husband. I’m sorry he’s having such a time.
Praying for your husband and you Kimberly. Grammy from Texas
Prayers for Granny!
I’m thankful we have a Heavenly Father who holds your sweet mother ever so tightly in His Almighty Hands. I pray for God’s goodness and mercy over her.
Praying for the oh so special Granny!❤️
Another baby is a good reason to have something to look forward to. God bless Granny and I pray that she’ll have many more Christmas’ with her family.
I received the book you sent. I’ll be ready for a rest and some quiet reading time when all the holidays are over and it’s a cold January. It’ll be a treat to sit by the fire and read.
Thank you my friend.
Prayers for Granny. I love hearing her sing! Her voice is so sweet and pure.
I’m in the process of decorating and am trying to stop doing so much. It’s so hard to undecorate.
I can’t wait to see your house as you get ready for Christmas. What a joy to have two baby boys to love on!
I am praying for Granny to enjoy this holiday season and be blessed with many more days from the Lord.
I have my Grandmothers nativity set. She was born in 1900 so it is old. When she passed, it was one thing that I wanted from all that she had. It has a special place on our piano just as it had on hers.
Thank you so much for sharing with us all . The joyous & the difficult!!! Joining in prayer for Granny & you all !!!
Love and prayers for Granny and all
of you!
Tipper, I’m praying for you and your family. I remember Granny in my prayers daily and have been trying to remember all the other needs and requests I read on here. I don’t always remember their names, but God does. 🙂 ❤
So sorry about your Mom. I will say a prayer for her. She is a strong woman. Thanks for sharing your Christmas stories.
It sounds like you have some wonderful Christmas memories and traditions. I, too, would get excited when my mom would get the Christmas decorations from the attic each year and she would decorate the main living areas of the house while listening to Christmas music. Those are such special times that I dearly miss, since both of my parents are gone now. But everytime I bring out my Christmas decorations, I am reminded of the wonderful traditions my parents started for me and my siblings.
I’m sorry to hear about Granny’s current medical condition. I will continue to keep her and your family in my prayers, as I do every night.
Look at all these comments! Granny is certainly well-loved by all of us. I have always been in good health, but since I passed 75 one health challenge after the other is coming on quick. I know Who is walking by my side and holding my hand, and I am sure Granny has that same Comfort. Have a very blessed Christmas, and prayers for you all.
My prayers for granny and you too. As long as she’s feeling ok that’s a blessing in itself. I will continue to pray for everything she needs.
Tipper, I think Your Granny and I are the same age. I am praying for her to have several more years with her loved ones. I know how she must feel. You see my kidneys are gone and I have been on Dialysis for five years. More problems arise as the time goes by, but I hope to make it a little while longer. I try to have your Granny’s spirit and smile and enjoy each day.
Oh Tipper, how sorry we are to hear that Granny’s cancer has returned. We know it’s not the news you all wanted to hear. Granny is such a special light in this world. God has surely used her, and your whole family, to bless others. We are praying for Granny, that she may be at peace and be comfortable despite the new diagnosis. We love you all!
Thank you, Tipper, for your post today, I will continue to lift up granny in prayer to the almighty God. AMEN
Pray, live life to the fullest and enjoy every day. Prayers for everyone.
Praying for Granny and family.
Miss Tipper, I want you to know I will be praying for your momma. Please let her know how much we care about her. She and my husband are only a year apart in age. This makes me feel more compassionate toward her and truly care for her. I’m not very good at explaining myself, as you can see. Hugs, love and prayers to Miss Louzine and to your beautiful family.
I’m praying for Granny. That old cancer is a terrible thing. Also want to thank you for telling about the book Doris Woman of the Mountains. I bought it and am enjoying it so much. Merry Christmas to your family.
I’m so sorry to hear this news about Granny. I am praying she will far outlive y’all’s expectations and have a wonderful quality of life until our Heavenly Father calls her home. Sending love to your whole family.
When I was growing up mama wouldn’t let me start decorating for Christmas until Thanksgiving night. We would always go visit my granny Margie and pawpaw Jr on Thanksgiving and they lived in Clayton GA so by the time we got home to Waynesville it was usually getting pretty late, but that never stopped me from begging mama to let me put the tree up as soon as we walked through the door! I even got my way a couple of times but most years we would decorate on black Friday.
Praying for granny and all of you!
Prayers for Granny! She reminds me of my mom. May God Bless Granny and all the family with a wonderful Christmas .
Continuing to pray for Granny and all of the family. Granny has been through a lot and still has such an amazing strength about her. With her wonderful faith and family, she will make the most of this situation. I thought she looked really good Thanksgiving and smiling and talking with everyone. The story today about her and sister sounds just like her. I remember mama decorating our house with a lot of holly. She put it on our mantel and as many places as she could. I remember her getting some sort of little branch and putting gumdrops on it and putting it in a container and the mistletoe my brother would shoot out of a tree. Some years we had a cedar tree with the big bulbs. When I came home from school, you could just smell Christmas in the house. Tipper, I always look forward to you gathering your Christmas greenery outside and seeing what you will do with it. That swag Matt helped you fix last year was beautiful.
I’m very sorry to learn of Granny’s recent test results. Praying for her healing and all the family.
Prayers continue for Granny and for each of you.
Granny is too tough to let a lymph node cause her any problems! About 10 years ago, they found one while scanning for something else. It concerned my doctor enough that he scheduled a recheck in 3 months. I told him it would be gone in 3 months and it was. Prayers healed me and they will do the same for Granny! Find some spare nails and decorate Granny’s house the old-fashioned way so she can relive the memories.
Tears well up in my eyes as I think of Granny’s health condition. Yet, we who know, love and serve our God, are promised a heavenly reality at a time of His choosing. ” In my Father’s house are many mansions if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you that where I am you may be also.”
May your Family be blessed this Christmas. Special love to Granny, such a sweet, precious witness for ur Lord.
So sorry to hear the news about Granny. We will definitely be praying for her and all of you!
Well, I wasn’t expecting to hear that on Granny, Tipper! She has been doing so good I almost forgot she even had it. I had two cancers and walked away from both, now I have my third but there is no cure for it so every day I get is a blessing. I’m sure Granny feels the same. So now I find she does macrame, too!! Is there nothing this wonderful, fascinating woman cannot do?? I pray God blesses her and allows her family to love and care for her for a long time yet! May He shower her with blessings!!
praying
My Mother always decorated the tree and it was always beautiful. When I married I loved to decorate a big tree and everything in the house. Although I just have a little table top tree now, I have the decorations we bought for our first son’s Christmas and the second son’s Christmas plus ornaments they made on it. I always enjoyed the baking and making a delicious Christmas meal and my husband and children just seemed to enjoy it all.
Praying for Granny to see her new grandchild next spring.
Prayers going up for Granny. She is such a dear sweet soul!
Exactly what Laura Lee Baird said. My thoughts precisely. ❤️✝️
Praying that The Father will extend Granny’s days.
I use to decorate a lot but things have changed and I am in a small apt so needless to say…:)
I will be praying for our (she has become part of your audience ) Granny…she is a sweetheart!
Ah, Tipper. Blessings to you and Granny. I understand. Once I hit my 70s, I slowed down my house decorating a little. I still decorate for each season but just not as much. Moving all those heavy totes around gets harder and harder. I also admire Granny so for her strength and faith while facing and dealing with the dreaded “c-word.” I will keep your family and Granny in my prayers. May God continue to give her strength and ease.
I am so sorry to hear this, but I agree wholeheartedly with your mother! I will join her in prayer, that the progression will be slow. I will pray also for grace for your family, that the upcoming days will be joyful, and that God will give all of you the peace that passes understanding.
when my mom reached the stage that if you treated one thing it affected the other so she reached the decision to just leave everything alone–of course we did palliative care–she was anxious to be with Jesus, her parents and two sons who were already in heaven, but oh how she hated leaving the rest of us behind….The Lord answered prayers and gave her an easy passing, I was with her and as one tear rolled out of her left eye she was Home. That was 8 years ago this past October 24th and it still feels like yesterday. But yesterday would have been her father (my grandad’s) 117th birthday and though he has been gone 30 years even his death seems like yesterday. One glorious day we will ALL be reunited with loved ones and finally get to see our Lord and Savior. Until then, prayers for ease and comfort to the sick the hurting the lost and the lonely must continue to go forth as well as praise and thanksgiving to The Father for His love, mercy, grace, and every other good thing that flows from Him
As always, the devil tries his best to defeat us with sickness, worry, etc. The news for Granny was not what any of you wanted, but you are a family of faith. Our good Lord will wrap his loving arms around each of you and His strength and love will get you through this difficult time. You are a strong and resilient family and your hope in Him will see you through. The devil doesn’t have a chance…we’re all with you and praying for each one of you. ❤️
I’m slowly but surely getting the decorating done. I’m so sorry about Granny and she will be in my prayers. She reminds me of my Mama.
Praying for our sweet Granny. Such a bright light in this world.
I pray for Mrs. Wilson every day.
Praying for Granny. I’m also praying your family has a joyous and blessed Christmas. Love watching your family prepare for and celebrate the holidays
This Belsnickel thing sounds totally creepy to me. It also sounds like risky business, showing up in disguise at night, raising a ruckus!
Put off housework, put off yard work. Don’t put off joy. Decorate!
We Blind Pig readers are family with the Pressleys, and for that we thank you, Tipper and the others.
We can share life experiences, both good and bad, and support each other even though we have never met and never will. We can also learn from each other. Case in point is Allen’s battle with prostate cancer. I’d like to sit in a rocker and talk to him about that. Some PC is more aggressive than in other cases, and, as Jan noted, treatment options were different back when as opposed to now. Granny’s doctors know a lot more about her type of cancer and its treatment than they did just a few years ago. God willing, she’ll sing to that next new baby for a good long time.
Prayers for Granny.
As for the Holly…I know Christmas is coming when I see robins in our yard. They are city-dwellers and we never see them in our wooded, more rural area until the holly berries turn red. We seldom have berries left on the trees at Christmas.
I am so sorry to hear about Granny. She will be in my daily prayers. I don’t decorate for Christmas like I used to either. I’ve got a few of my favorite decorations out in my living room. I’ve found I have to make a few life adjustments as I grow older. ❣️
Praying for your mom. Spend all the time you are able with her and make more special memories.
Praying along with you all for God’s healing hand upon Mrs. Wilson, Granny, for the very slow progression and for her to meet the new grandchild expected this Spring.
My mother learned to macrame in the 70’s. She made a bag in an off white color and some hanging plant holders too.
God bless Granny. I will keep her in my prayers. My own mother is 95 and has not been well lately. I thank God that I have had her with me this long. Daddy died a few days after he reached 75 in June 2000. I have enjoyed decorating in the past but now that my grandchildren are almost grown, I have cut down the amount I do. I even bought a three-foot-high tree last year. I just don’t have the energy to put up and take down the big trees any longer. When I was in my 20’s I enjoyed making decoupage items, wreaths and other projects. My husband and I are still praying for the hurricane victims. It has turned very cold here in southern Va. The temps this morning were 20 degrees and will be around that temperature in the next week.
Tricia-praying for your mother!
Thank you, Tipper.
It’s hard to hear such news anytime, but at the holidays is the worst. We will keep Granny in our prayers.
Praying for Granny!
First of all-it’s terrible to hear of granny’s condition. However, there’s a physician greater than ANY who knows and hears and answers to ALL her needs and requests. He will make a way when there is NO way. Congrats on the new and ever increasing Wilson Clan! Babies are the greatest blessing and miracle of all! I’m hoping to have a roof and bedroom by Christmas from Helene wayyyyyyyy back on Sept. 27…. It’s been tough and uncomfortable NOOGIES over here in West, by Gosh, VA since about 1030 am on that dreadful day… I hope to have a house complete by Christmas with plans, money ready to go… I got a Mr. Christmas tree that lights up on the table, SANTA in a lit up glittery British phone booth (like Dr Who) and a bubble light 5 light candle labra… that’s it from the Arctic circle up here…. God bless all and you know it-especially the beloved GRANNY -BEAUTIFUL MATRIARCH OF THE WILDON FAMILY!!!
So sorry to hear about the test results. Granny is just the sweetest lady. So glad she has family so close by and a world of family from youtube. We all will be praying for her and her loved ones. Be sure and take lots of pictures and videos of her with family and especially the little ones. The big kids will have memories but the little ones will appreciate the pictures and videos of them and her when they get older.
Thank you for sharing about decorating. Yes young children get away with stringing & hanging decorations all over lol ! Praying for Granny and all of you. So glad there are so many recordings with her. We look forward to more. All of you are a blessing to us.
Granny is such a sweet lady! I love that story when she was a girl. Praying for her!
I will be praying for granny and the rest of the family as well. God is in control. Cherish every moment.
❤️
I’d like to say thank you to everybody that pray for Mike Evans, God bless you very much, my brother lives in copperhill Tennessee, he works in Murphy North Carolina, he sent me a picture , it is snowing today, God bless you friends I love you
Praying for Granny and y’all. My Mama is on hospice, not expected to make it much longer, but as we tell everyone, only God knows and His timing is always right. We have been doing our outside decorations all this week. We share a yard lol and are in hollering distance of each other. We always put up so many lights, it’s a HUGE deal. We have an old covered bridge that my dad built between my house and Mama‘s and we’ve got it decorated, and it has an outside Christmas tree in front of it, the barn is decorated and the fence by the barn, my house is decorated. Our wellhouse is decorated, and it has the nativity scene at it, the entire fence line between my house, and Mama’s is lit and a waterwheel my Daddy built is decorated and my mom’s carport, the ramp going up to her porch, her porch and her swing and we even decorate the kids Playhouse and put a little Christmas tree in it. She has been enjoying the lights. She too hopes to make it to see her first great grandson. My prodigal son and his girlfriend had a baby on October 20 and we still haven’t got to see him yet and my son hasn’t even come around to see Mama. But I keep praying.
Kelley-praying for your mother. Love all the decorations!
I will start the Christmas decorating this week. Over the years I’ve cut back on how much of the house I decorate. Now I keep it to the living room and kitchen. I have a tall skinny artificial tree that I’ve used the last few years and it’s really pretty, but I still have our tall fat tree and I may use it again before I officially retire it.
It’s hard watching our parents age and go through the health issues they develop. My dad is 88 years old and these last few weeks he has really been struggling. I’m praying for your mom and for God’s grace and peace to surround each of you!
Denise-praying for your daddy. It is hard.
Thank you Tipper.
Prays for Granny. Enjoy the holiday season together. It’s all about family.
Prayers for Granny and for all of the family.
Enjoy the Christmas season.
So many Christmas happenings!!!
Granny has become like family and this is sad news. I’m praying for her and the family. Our lives here are so short when compared to eternity. The hope we have of Heaven is the thing that gets us through these tough times. BUT God is our Healer and we will pray for healing in this situation. God’s will be done.
Prayers to all and keeping Granny in my thoughts.
Always praying for Granny and the entire family. Hoping and praying she meets her new great grand baby.
Decorating for Christmas is a favorite of mine too. We are praying for Granny!
Tipper, I am very sorry to hear the bad news about Granny!!!!! I will keep Granny and all of her family in my prayers
Tipper, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer 11 years ago and had forty-two radiation treatments. After 5 years the cancer returned and I had a process called cryoablation(freezing). The cancer returned after 3 years and I had Lupron shots every 6 month for 2 years. I am in remission now and thank God for that. While all of this was happening, a malignant tumor was found on my right kidney, and it had to be removed. In all of this experience with cancer, I learned that God has everything under control and that he is a good and merciful God. Cancer drew me closer to God and made my faith stronger. I have only been watching your YouTube channel for the last 3 or 4 months and have been subscribed to BLIND PIG and ACORN for a sorter period of time. I want you to know how much I enjoy both of them and how much I admire you for keeping your culture alive. I really enjoy your interviews with Granny, and I especially enjoy her singing. She has a beautiful voice. I hate to hear that her cancer has returned, but there is One who is mightier than the cancer. I will keep Granny, you, and the rest of the family in my prayers, Tipper. Thank you for all the hard work you do in keeping the culture of Appalachia alive.
Amen!
May the Lord bless and keep you Allen Keller.
Kindest regards,
Jeffery
So sorry to hear about grannie’s news. She has been such a light and example of graciously moving through sickness. I hope to be like her someday. Praying that she gets to see the newest baby.
Memories of Christmas as a child is always magical. I remember me and my younger brother going with our dad to get a Christmas tree. The only problem was it was snowing so hard. My dad ended up with a head of snow ( he never wore a hat). By the time we got home, we had to leave it in the garage. Us kids were antsy to decorate the tree, but we had to wait until it dried out.
Once it came in, and dad set it up, we all helped in making that tree look beautiful. Those were the days of tinsel and large bulb lights.
Great memories.
I pray that Granny will get to see another generation be born in the spring. God is good, his mercies is everlasting.
I am saddened to hear of Granny’s news. However God knows all things and His timing is perfect. In the 1970s my Papa was diagnosed with colon cancer. He was diagnosed before Christmas and was scheduled to go to Emory in January for surgery. That Christmas was the saddest Christmas! He was convinced that he wouldn’t come home from the hospital. All of us cried that Christmas Eve when we got together as a family. Well, he lived at least five years after a 3 week hospital stay. ( At that time there was no chemo) He planted a big garden every year and lived a full life. I remember the Christmas when my cousin said “Papa, why are you here? You were supposed to die years ago!” That Christmas we all had a big laugh. Prayers for Granny as she lives to see
more great grands.
Prayers lifted for Granny to make it thru to see the new great grandbaby.
Jeff in Virginia
Continuing to pray for Granny & her health. Here’s hoping that the Christmas season will cheer her up & bring her joy & take her mind off of her health issues. God bless Granny & your entire family throughout 2024 (and beyond). Hugs!
Praying for granny and for you Tipper and the whole family! Enjoy your beautiful Christmas time together!
Hope you all get to spend many good days with Granny.
I will be praying for Granny. I always have multi colored lights with green tensile on every window. multi colored light o. my tree with all my special ornaments. My favorite ornaments are the ones my son made in preschool. He is now 35. My Pastor’s wife said I have an old fashioned tree because I use traditional tensile and ice cycles on my tree. This year I won’t be decorating as we are remodeling the kitchen and everything is piled everywhere a and there isn’t room for a tree. It is very weird! Love Granny and your family!
Tipper, our precious momma loved Christmas like that too. I reckon maybe because they didn’t really celebrate as children. They hung their socks on nails and hoped for an orange, a few nuts, and if lucky a chocolate drop.
Once married with children, Momma made sure she decorated everything, even the bathroom. She would also go out and get greens and decorate the outside of the windows with greens and red ribbons. She made it so special. We didn’t get a lot of gifts. Maybe a dolly and a surprise. The boys got trucks and a surprise. The emphasis wasn’t about the gifts. Momma spent the day cooking and baking and the house smelled so good. Magical
I’m so sorry to hear this about Granny. It breaks my heart for all y’all. We will continue to pray for Granny. She feels like she belongs to so many of us too. She is so precious and special! I know she is just as special to our sweet Savior. May He be gracious to her and grant her prayers to see that baby.
We love all y’all and may this season be extra sweet for you. God bless!
Praying for you all!
I know how special the Christmas season is. I pray Granny continues to do well and has much longer than spring. The circle of life can be a bitter thing to everyone, but isn’t it great to have the Holy Spirit to comfort us. I love you’re family.
I am praying for Granny I truly enjoy all you share. Thank you! You all had a lovely Thanksgiving! My brother, niece and great niece came to Indiana from Louisiana and spent 4″1/2 days with my family and I. We had company 2 of the evenings and of course went to my granddaughters’ home for Thanksgiving. She and her husband lives in my home place, that way it stayed in the family❤❤❤ Between them they have 5 children, 4 still at home! Its a big old farm house. I am blessed! I’m praying for all the hurricane victims, praying for solutions to no homes. I’m praying that whomever is saying they can not put tiny homes on their own property is so wrong on all levels! Praying for God’s intervention. God bless you and yours❤❤
My wife enjoyed decorating for Christmas but since her death we do not decorate. She enjoyed Christmas, her death left a big hole in our family’s enjoyment. I have always liked holly but the tree I use to get it from has died. I also loved the smell of a live cedar Christmas tree cut from somewhere on our property.
So sorry to hear the news about Granny. All of my grandparents have died, I think I have adopted Granny as my online Grandmother. I will be praying for her.
