For today’s Pickin and Grinnin in the Kitchen Spot I’m sharing another video from our Month of the Train Series…
Your photos are amazing. You do have the eye!
We get the best cherries in June but we’ve still got a lot till almost mid August and then it’s time for figs. Looking forward to watching the video.
Thanks for the reminder to spit out those pits!! Can’t wait for the video-
Looking forward to the video!!! I’ve been finding a lot of pits, lately. Guess I need to spit more, LOL!
Tipper, can’t wait to see the video! @Melissa, I have been to the Traverse City Cherry Festival and had a wonderful time. Just returned from that area earlier this week and the trees were loaded with cherries.
Those were very fine cherries, Tipper!
I’m ready to get on with this video. I’ve had a teaser of the story and the music so enough already!
Those look fantastic!
Tipper,
I agree with you. Sometimes the
sweet tasting cherries of life
make us forget about the pitfalls
in there too.
When I was little, about the first
grade, we had a huge yellow cherry
tree that we picked bushels off of
in late July. Mama canned most of
them and we got to enjoy cobblers
during the long winter months…Ken
My favorite fruit are bing cherries and they are in season now and perfect! Just ate some for mid-morning snack.
So are those Michigan cherries? Little known factoid… the Traverse City Cherry Festival is held on the weekend closest to July 4th. In most years, it’s too early for Michigan cherries and they have to import them from the Northwest.(More in my blog in a few days)
yum!
Tipper–I like a bowl of cherries better than Gump’s a box of chocolates. With cherries you always get goodness (and a pit), but you can spit out the pit.

Looking forward to the video, know it will be good.
Tipper,
You need to read “If Life Is A Bowl of Cherries, then What Am I
Doing In the Pits” by Erma Bombeck…so good..
She is my very favorite female humorist.
Thanks Tipper,
So excited about your video! Can’t wait to see it.
