First off- Pap, me, and the rest of the gang say THANK YOU for your many prayers and well wishes. I can’t tell you how good it feels to know we have an army sending up requests on behalf of Pap’s health!
Pap is still in ICU and still struggling. The pain from the breaks seems to be lessening or at least improving slightly but the other issues are still there along with a high fever.

May 18, 2015 at 10:49 pmI don’t worry so much for Pap as for those who depend on him. Pap is a winner either way. I just pray that when God decides to call him home, he will just slip away and join the precious souls that await him. I pray that those who look up to him will always look up to find him and will aspire to the beliefs that placed him there.
Thank you!

May 17, 2015 at 11:47 pmDear Tipper: Yesterday I sent you a private message as it was not safe for my bad English if Pap had suffered an accident. Today I confirm and I see with pleasure that the old marine is a hard bone to gnaw, as we say here. From below, the southernmost point of our common home, America, this friend in music keeps him in their prayers, and tells him, Pap! swells your chest, look forward, and, remember, ..,. Semper Fi !!!, and quiet, our Lord Jesus Christ is helping you, everyone .A friendly greeting, Jose Luis, from Buenos Aires, Argentina .

May 17, 2015 at 10:34 pmI have been waiting all day for an update on your father’s condition. This one doesn’t offer the the relief that I prayed for. Let us remember though, no matter which way his path may turn, he is going to be OK. I am so sorry that you and all your family, especially your father, are having to go through this. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. I can’t do much but I will do all I can.
I know you will but please look after your mother. I am praying for her too!

May 17, 2015 at 9:44 pmTipper,
As I was transplanting some periwinkles this early afternoon, I saw my Red Hot Pokers sending up stalks like crazy. I immediately thought of those by the silo near Murphy, and you and our picture game, and then of course Pap and wondering how he was feeling and improving by this Sunday afternoon…It was almost like they were garnering my attention AND saying to me, “Remember Murphy and your friends there, and send up another prayer for Pap”! As yesterday evening they were very short, barely noticeable! Yes, I believe plants talk to us in their way! I have never had so many stalks before…but I could only think of you and your family in Brasstown and of course Pap…
Thinking of you tonight and hoping things are going well!
Love you guys,
Beverly

May 17, 2015 at 6:15 pmContinuing in prayer for Pap’s steady improvement. We know that it is God’s will for all of His children to “prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2), and we’re believing without any doubt that our prayers for Pap will be answered because we are certain his soul is healthy and strong.
Praying for those who love him too because we know it’s difficult to see treasured loved ones in need or in pain.
God bless.

May 17, 2015 at 10:08 amTipper, you and your family are of concern for me and I keep you all in my prayers. This will be a long “lick” for you, but healing is happening every day. We have our 102 year old mother in the rehab unit of our hospital, as she fell and broke her upper arm and pelvis 6 weeks ago. In those 6 weeks she has gone from 0 to 100 and is looking forward to the days ahead, doing much for herself and walking on her own two feet. It was long and hard for her, but PT and OT along with all the care from everyone in health care were so kind and caring to her. I hope that Pap will have such good care and that his “goal”, and positive attitude will give him strength to carry him over the long days of recovery. Again, I send my prayers and positive thoughts to you @all.

May 17, 2015 at 9:35 amTwice in my life, in times of need, I have felt the power of other’s prayer for me. Except for the need part, I would that everyone might experience it. There are no adequate words.
You speak of your blessing but there is also the blessing for us of knowing you and yours are blessed. This was Paul’s “unspeakable gift”.

May 17, 2015 at 8:49 amI didn’t know Pap was in ICU! That news will make me pray a little harder. When I turned the computer on today, I sorted through tons of emails until I found yours with Pap’s update. Try not to worry, Tipper. Everything is going to be ok. Tell Pap to sing for the nurses if he wants some special treatment in there!

May 16, 2015 at 3:18 pmTipper,
We are glad to hear that Pap is doing somewhat better….
It may take a few days for his body to calm down from the pain and trauma (shock)from the fall. I know he wishes you good luck with your program and that going on with it will ease his mind. Wish we could have been there as well….maybe next time…
Thanks Tipper
Hope we get to see the video as well….

May 16, 2015 at 9:35 amI’m sorry to hear about your Pap’s fall. I will say a prayer for him. From you previous post,he does sound like a tough old bird. I can’t imagine pulling himself into the car much less sitting on those hips! The pain he must have been in.

May 16, 2015 at 9:20 amOh my, Tipper, I just saw your post from yesterday, and for sure Pap and all of you will be in my thoughts and prayers! Tough old bird, indeed. Amazing what we can do when we have to! And now Pap will “have to” do a lot of healing which may be slow, but good gracious, worth the time invested!
Big hugs all around, and I know you all will be making a special video of a special performance to deliver to a special person.
