I noticed people’s feet at the Mountain Folk Festival in Berea KY. There were bare feet, tennis shoes, sock feet, dress shoes, dance shoes, and cowboy boots-all in a variety of colors and shapes. What I liked best about the feet-they all seemed to be happy.

June 1, 2011 at 10:38 amOh man, nothing like a good ole Appalachian stomp. I love to dance, especially to toe tapping blue grass. Usually cut the rug doing either clogging or buck-type dancing. I just make it up as I go and let er rip.

April 7, 2011 at 3:26 pmLoved the pictures of the feet and most dancers are happy! As a teen our dancing spot was the gym, so we had”sock hops” whether we wanted them or not!

April 7, 2011 at 12:26 pmTipper: my wife and i were dancing just yesterday,i don’t remember the tune but it sure brought back memories of a time when i thought i was a swell dancer,no one else did of course. i always wore cowboy boots, Justin size 101/2. my wife however was a terrific dancer.that’s something i sure intend too do, when we return to that great state of North Carolina. regards k.o.h

Do you dance to make you happy or because you’re happy you dance?
