Paul is fantastic and he and Pap about drew the tears…. I hooted and hollered when I saw those deer antlers as a tree topper!!! I love it!!! You look beautiful today and red is a fantastic color on you!!! Well it snowed and we have I figure about 6 inches of snow and the temperature is about -0.5’F. I know some of the ones that make comments on the blog have lost some of their loved ones this year, we have too, I ask that all of us be mindful of them and pray for them. The Holidays can be real hard.

    The songs were perfect! It’s so good to see Pap, I miss him a lot!
    Our country is in turmoil but we have the gift of a moment of silence in our winter wonderland!

  17. I feel so blessed this Christmas to have found your Blind Pig and the Acorn site in my search for information on the Appalachian culture. Your entire family deserve honorary degrees in Sociology, along with multiple Achievement Awards. Your willingness to share your knowledge and skills makes me know that our shared Appalachian roots knew the true meaning of Christmas.Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and…Christmas Gift!     I went to youtube and did a search for the Wilson Brothers. Wow, that’s great bluegrass music! Those guys were professional singers. I have a couple of CD’s of the Louvins that I listen to often.
