Gazzie and Charlie Jenkins (my grandparents-granny’s mother and father)
Like many of you, I’ll spend today eating good food and thinking of all the things I have to be thankful for.
Blind Pig Readers are at the top of my thankful list. I am truly grateful for each of you who stop by for a daily dose of Appalachia.
I wish you a day full of blessings. And Pap says to tell you not to bust your belly.
Happy Thanksgiving from the whole Blind Pig Gang!

November 26, 2015 at 10:01 amTipper,
Yesterday evening, I was so hungry that I just had to sample my Thanksgiving Dressing and Giblet Gravy. And we’ll be having our dinner this year at a cabin on Silver Mine. My oldest girl and her family are staying there for a Thanksgiving Treat, so I’m joining ’em.
Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving Dinner and Be Thankful for what God has given us…Ken

November 26, 2015 at 9:08 amHappy Thanksgiving to everyone. Tell Pap that if tradition holds, I will probably ALMOST bust my belly! It is a beautiful, crisp, fall day here and a great do for being thankful. In addition to all the blessings in my life, I am thankful for the interesting and entertaining pieces of Appalachia that I get every day on Blind Pig and the Acorn. Thank you, Tipper!
