The Louvin Brothers-with God Bless Her Cause She Is My Mother. The prettiest song about Mothers I’ve ever heard.

  1. Tipper,
Loved the old photos and meeting your relatives. These are treasured momentos. Thanks so much for sharing. I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day.

  2. Tipper, what a surprise! You brought tears to my eyes, again.
It’s so good to see the pictures of my mother and me as well as the picture of the Deerhunter. He was a precious child. So sweet and so kind and he still is.

  3. Tipper,
My YouTube’s are back and I enjoyed the song very much. Also loved all the pictures you shared of the great women in your family. You should have put one on of you and the girls. After all, you’re their Momma. 🙂 Happy Mother’s Day my sweet friend. xxoo

  4. Happy Mother’s Day Tipper. I think it is wonderful that you have all these old family photos and that you share them with all of us.
I hope your day is wonderful.

  5. Tipper: What great family photos. I was back to my old home town in Appalachia for a few days and it was refreshing.
My Mother has gone on to heaven but that doesn’t mean that on a day such as this I don’t think back to other Mother’s Day with her.

  6. You don’t look super happy in that first picture. Like my father-in-law says, you could perch a rooster on that bottom lip. 🙂
    Happy Mom’s Day.

  7. Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s out there. I really miss my Grandma when seeing a post like yours and listening to the music. Fortunately my spunky Mom is still around and loves to give and receive hugs.

  8. You could not have picked a better song. Mama and Daddy used to sing this one and hearing it again brought tears to my eyes. She’s been gone now three years and we miss her so much. My consolation is that she walks in fields of flowers, carefree and painfree and with the Lord.

  9. Your post makes me wonder if there are pictures of me with my grandmothers. I’ve never seen any. Your collection of pictures is great.

  10. Both my grandmothers and my mother have passed on, but I still miss them all of them terribly, especially on Mothers Day.
    Happy Mothers Day, Tipper!
    Julie
