Christmas-Times-a-Coming

Today I’m sharing another favorite from the long list of Christmas song videos we’ve uploaded over the years.

According to Wikipedia, “Christmas Times A-Coming” was written by Benjamin Franklin “Tex” Logan, Jr.

Bill Monroe helped spread the tune’s popularity, but I’m most familiar with Sammy Kershaw’s version of the song, and I’m betting that’s where the girls learned it since their daddy is awful partial to Sammy’s version.

I love the cheerful tune of the song, but I also love the lyrics that speak of the wonderful way our memories of home get tied up in the specialness of Christmas.

I hope you enjoyed the video!
