We all are ghosts from Christmas Past. It’s just that some are older than others.
I was the stroke of midnight in the play A Christmas Carol when I was in Mr. Griffin’s 10th English grade class. I had a speaking part when we started practicing but was replaced and ended up hitting the gong that imitated the bells. We started practicing near the beginning or the year and end right before Christmas. We would go to class for a few minutes before the teacher would say “Let’s head over to the auditorium and practice”. I didn’t learn too much that year. Well not before Christmas anyway. Didn’t matter though. I already knew English.
What a great story for the ages.
