I noticed people’s feet at the Mountain Folk Festival in Berea KY. There were bare feet, tennis shoes, sock feet, dress shoes, dance shoes, and cowboy boots-all in a variety of colors and shapes. What I liked best about the feet-they all seemed to be happy.

Appalachia Through My Eyes – A series of photographs from my life in Southern Appalachia.
Oh man, nothing like a good ole Appalachian stomp. I love to dance, especially to toe tapping blue grass. Usually cut the rug doing either clogging or buck-type dancing. I just make it up as I go and let er rip.
YAY happy feet!
Loved the pictures of the feet and most dancers are happy! As a teen our dancing spot was the gym, so we had”sock hops” whether we wanted them or not!
Tipper: my wife and i were dancing just yesterday,i don’t remember the tune but it sure brought back memories of a time when i thought i was a swell dancer,no one else did of course. i always wore cowboy boots, Justin size 101/2. my wife however was a terrific dancer.that’s something i sure intend too do, when we return to that great state of North Carolina. regards k.o.h
Love all those happy dancing feet! I would be one of those barefooting it!
Very sweet post. Music makes us want to move our feet–makes us happy!
Happy Feet tend to spread happiness to the rest of the body!
I like that observation. Happy feet could cure a lot of the ills of this world!
happy feet indeed, and dancing is good for the soul and for the health.
Tipper.
Do you dance to make you happy or because you’re happy you dance?
Love the photo!…I think a very large painting of the happy feet would be awesome…hmmmm!
Thanks Tipper,
