After Chitter wrote the post about her new fiddle, I told her she needed to let Blind Pig readers hear it for themselves.
Chatter was off gallivanting so I got Chitter to play “Amazing Grace” for you.
I think the fiddle has a great sound. Hope you enjoyed the video!

Absolutely fine! I associate “Amazing Grace” with bagpipes; I feel that it’s the national send-off of Scotland, which brings us to this:
It’s been said (and I believe) that the mountain fiddle replaced the bagpipes in Appalachia because they can be made to sound somewhat similar, and our first settlers in these hills were Scots-Irish and poor, and bagpipes were outrageous expensive, while fiddles, literally, grew on trees…
Sweet!!!!And rich,,
CHITTER,
Your new fiddle sounds really great, your fiddle playing is steadily getting better and better. Keep it up and never stop. Hope your enjoying today weather here in Arkansas pretty wet and dreary.

Something about that haunting music speaks to my soul. Congratulations Chitter. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful girl with such a mountain music sound on the fiddle. Great
Wonderful!
Absolutely beautiful!!!
Has the richness of the “hollers” in it’s sound.
Chitter’s talent and the special fiddle were meant to make incredible music together.
One of my favorite hymns!! I sang along and that new fiddle sounds beautiful. Great job and a wonderful start to my morning! God Bless!!
I love the resonance and mellow tone, I think the Fiddle did find her. Amazing Grace is one of my favorite songs also especially since I’ve experienced Jesus’ Grace in large measure for the last two years. Thanks for all the Presley family’s friendship and prayers (Paul’s too).
What a beautiful gift! Especially for this Sunday commemorating the Presentation of Jesus to the Temple!
That fiddle is a perfect match for you Katie. It’s voice sounds just like yours. Simply beautiful!
My favorite hymn and played so beautifully!
Beautiful girl…beautiful music…so needed in my world as I try to beat cancer….tell your daughter her gift is special. …and thank you
Lovely! A good decision, my dear!
Perfect! Especially for a Sunday morning!
Amazing talent! She can almost make that fiddle talk!
I like it!!! Got my fiddle out and played along with you but mine don’t sound that good.
Just wondering if anyone else sings ( We Shall Wear a Crown ) at the end of Amazing Grace?
Amazing sound. Great way to start off the Lords Day
I do not know beans about music. But sounds to me like that instrument has a deep, rich sound. I want to think “mellow”. My wife says, “Has a good sound.” I expect Chitter will be able to make it say what she feels and make it tell others what they feel for which there are no words.
That was so beautiful! Glory to our Father! Thank you for this on what would’ve been my Mother’s 84th birthday. Such a blessing today!
Great sound and great pick for a Sunday morning.
Beautiful.
It has a very nice rich sound, the tone carries very well, you have yourself a life long companion. Congratulations again.
Oh, that’s beautiful Chatter! The fiddle certainly stands proud on it’s own. Good job!
