I pledge allegiance to the flag
of the United States of America
and to the republic for which it stands
one nation under God, indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.
Happy 4th of July from everyone here at the Blind Pig house.

I off my mark a little today,
So I guess I’ll have to say,
Hope you all had a wonderful 4TH of JULY.
Tipper,
You’re Mama-in-law, Miss Cindy is a “thinker”, and very supportive of you and your Blog, Course, I imagine that works both ways.
At Pap’s Funeral, Paul and Steve met me at the door, and Tipper and the Girls was starring at Pap, reminiscing. I had talked to Matt earlier. Cindy came over and sat down with me and leaned over and told me about Chatter. She said “that’s about as close to Pap as she’ll get, it hurts too much.”
As the musical played, the Family marched in, Paul held his Mama and Matt held Tipper, the way it should be. Miss Cindy saw that Chatter wasn’t doing so well, so she Comforted her. I got to meet Tony and his wife. Tony is Matt’s Dad, and I had never seen him or his wife before. …Ken
I read in Pap’s obit that he was a USMC vetetan. Hope you are duely proud of his service.
Happy 244th anniversary America and all Americans! Happy July 4th to the BP&A gang and all the BP&A readers. I am grateful to be an American and grateful to each and all of those who worked to get us to this day and those now striving to keep us true to all that is best in our founding.
Happy Independence Day 2020 Tipper and Family!
And the same to you and yours, Tipper, and all the Blind Pig folks!
Standing with my hand on my heart, repeating The Pledge of Allegiance in elementary school, is how we started each day. Similar to David’s Prayer (KJV Psalms 23), it has a lot of wisdom in it. Some times I wonder if Americans, realize all the sacrifices it took, to be able to enjoy this country as it is today. Every one should take this time to reflect on what lies in our hearts. God bless America, and God bless you all.
One of your most appropriate posts. No one loves the Appalachian Mountain region more than I do, but The United States of America first and always. God Bless America.
Happy Fourth, love you folks !
Yes, God Bless our Country!
Tipper, I was so impressed with the outpouring of ideas and support for a new dimension of the Blind Pig. We all love you and appreciate your dedication in keeping our Appalachian Traditions alive and well today!
Thank you and all your Blind Pig supporters!
A-Men
I love seeing that “Under God” in the pledge. The county seems to have gone mad, but Blind Pig readers are able to steal away and read a quiet voice of reason. Most Appalachians celebrate this great country, because we are smart like that! Happy and safe 4th to the Blind Pig gang and all the readers.
