  1. Long ago, I had an in-home daycare for about 10 years where I took care of 1, 2 & 3-year olds. I was trying to explain “shadows” to them from a story book, and one little boy just didn’t want to have one, saying no every time I tried to explain it. I took the children outside, stood them in the sun and with the chalk color of their choosing, I drew a chalk outline of their shadow. Then I drew outline of the clothing they had on and let them color their shadow’s clothing in with chalks they chose for the project. By the time his mother came to pick him up, he not only acknowledged his shadow, he proudly pointed his out to her. It was very interesting.
    God bless.

  3. You remind me of two funnies from Reader’s Digest from many years ago.
#1. Someone chalked on the sidewalk, “I love grils.” Later someone lined through ‘grils’ and chalked “girls” above it. But the next day there was a new message, “What about us grils?”
#2. On the sidewalk in front of the all-glass Lever Building, “In case of fire, break glass and pull lever down.”

  4. Looks like fun for the little one! Then the rain comes and all goes away until the chalk designs come back again.

  5. Wish we could make it to Vogel and hear the girls! It has been many moons since we visited that park!
Best of ‘weather’ for your day.

  6. Tipper,
There is nothing prettier than blue and yellow butterflies
unless it is the pretty girls doing the artwork!
What a truly beautiful heart felt smile!
