  1. Tipper,
Today, Donna Lynn was working at the Christian Radio Station since early this morning and I called to request a song by the Pressley Girls. After she played “Angels
Rock Me to Sleep” she played “He is Real” and that made my day.
New Years has been a nervous time for me. My oldest girl had an attack with her Gall
Bladder, had it removed Saturday and is still in the hospital at Chapel Hill. She was just in there in October for removing large cysts and both ovaries, one wrapped around her spine. Neither was Cancerous, thank God. She was born in ’68. …Ken

  4. Tipper,
    Happy New Year to all.
The collards are on low-simmer, the black-eyed peas are on low-simmer! I added some (prepped myself) Brussels sprouts for added green dollars no matter that they are small dollars every penny counts, so the saying goes.
The low-fat, no sugar chocolate pudding, Neufchatel (cream) cheese, no fat dream whip, walnut and low sugar graham cracker crust pie is in the fridge chillin’! I hesitate to add but think I will, splurge on some toasted leftover Christmas coconut on top the pie in a bit! After all it is New Years Day! ha
Iron skillet and spicy cornbread fixing’s are ready to go! I’m getting’ hungry! I kinda like my peas just a bit soupier, so they have about 30 minutes yet til done!
Now Jim I’ve seen pictures of you all “blinged up” holding that shinning gun with that smile and turkey fowl all spread out like a fan! ha To me that’s showin’ some bling of sorts! ha I suppose that’s our Appalachian bling!
    Thanks Tipper,
Cornbread’s on…let’s eat! Good luck and money wishes to all for the year plus the most important wish of all….peace, health and happiness!

  9. Tipper–I can’t resist taking advantage of a typo from Miss Cindy, never mind that I’m eminently capable of typos aplenty on my own.
Please let your mother-in-law know that while I’m a proud Blind Pig, I’ll be darned if I put on the adornments required to become a Bling Pig!
