  4. Good morning everyone, hope everyone had a good Christmas with family and friends. I love to watch your videos and see how y’all live in Appalachia. I’m pretty sure my roots are in that area but maybe in the KY part. My mother and her family always did the “Christmas Gift” saying and I continued it to this day with my children. But I don’t know anyone in any other family who says it. Do you know the origin of saying that to your family? I would love to know where and how it got started. Thank you for your videos. They always seem to have a calming effect on me. I know I sure need that in this hectic life we live. Blessings to you and all your family.

  11. Merry Christmas to all of you from down here in Lucedale, MS!!; Wishing yall a glorious, joyful day!!. We had our little family get together yesterday, and Papa and I are resting today. Please tell Matt my youngest son made his wonderful deer roast for our meal yesterday and it was absolutely delicious!! Praying for many blessings upon you all, especially precious Granny!!

  12. Thankful to be a member of the BP&A. You all exemplify the heart of Christmas. We might give it various names. The Lord just said it is love. I’ve lived long enough now to know it is the answer to “the purpose of life is _______.” I have been learning that all my life from.various sources. And one of them is here. It has been said “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” Yes, but maybe a more accurate way to say it is, “When the student is ready, the teacher that was always there will be seen”?

  20. Christmas gift to you too. My family has always had this traditional greeting on Christmas Day. I didn’t know anyone else who did it so it is nice to see it come from others. Merry Christmas.

  54. Happy Christmas and Merry New Year from Charles and me here in the Blue Ridge.
    The sun is shining. We have already had our December snow. We are so glad there is
    no snow left waiting for it to fall again. Last night we watched Santa on Norad’s Tracking
    System. It brought back a lot of memories when our children were little.
    Poor Santa had a time at our house one year. When the reindeer landed in the yard and our yard dog
    growled and barked at them to the point he had to leave the gifts in the basement. I am glad I left the basement door open for him.

  93. Merry Christmas to all the members. I plan to go see my sister that is In a nursing home and go to the graves of some of the family members that have passed on. This unusual warm weather is going to continue for a few more days. I had a good time last night with some of my wife’s family.
