  1. I just had to wish you and your family a blessed New Year even at this late hour. Appalachia was always in my heart, but I kept it on a back burner. You challenged me daily to learn more about my beautiful area called Appalachia. Thanks to you I am not just “walking around down here”, but I am totally in tune with all that makes up my world. Hopefully it has rubbed off on those near and dear to me. It is a belief that folks just don’t wander into your life randomly, but they are part of a bigger plan. Thus my finding the Blind Pig while just searching for a kraut recipe. Happy New Year!
