riddles-from-Appalachia

I’m sharing another riddle from “Way Down Yonder on Troublesome Creek Appalachian Riddles & Rusties” by James Still.

“Of weavers the best am I,
My own yarn do I supply,
None can match me, did they try,
To wear my cloth is to die.”

The last riddle I shared was from “Way Down Yonder on Troublesome Creek Appalachian Riddles & Rusties” by James Still. A lot of folks guessed things that could have been the answer, but the book said the answer was a hole.

“Whim-wham, shim-sham, jog-along, shift,
There’s a weightless thing you can’t lift.”

  3. Must be a spider. But I have never heard that to wear a spider web means one is going to die. I was reminded though of seeing all the webs in the grass covered with dew in the morning.
