  1. Sounds like a missed opportunity for some free labor. There is nothing more romantic than a few hours in the garden. That’s the vegetable garden not the flower garden! “She ain’t leaving here til the beans are picked, strung, specked, and broke. She’ll pick and you can hold the bucket for her. She’ll string and speck them and you can break them. Now don’t that sound like fun?”

  2. Tipper,
When I was barely in High School, I heard a group singing on the Radio called The Seekers. I really liked their Sound. They were an Australian Group, but they sounded like their Ancestors, and they had a girl in the group that had the best voice I ever heard. She was Judith Durham, and she still sounds that way. Soon as she got Recognition, she became America’s Sweetheart.

They went to England on a Cattle Boat and they were there for about a week, one of the Beatles walked by and said “you all are alright but the Fans are here to see Us.” The next week the Seekers knocked the Beatles off the top charts and never looked back.

Today Chitter and Chatter are my Favorite Singers, because, like the Seekers, they sing mostly Gospel Songs. My Favorite ones are “My hearts in Brasstown and The River of Jordan.” …Ken

  4. Remember well ♥︎ those days. 🙂 ….. as ”Milly” sings it in one of our many years watched musicals….”Seven Brides For Seven Brothers,…. ”Going courtin, going courtin, oh it sets your senses in a whirl” …I couldn’t count how many times back through the years, a certain( now married) granddaughter(Emily) and I ate popcorn, and sang our way through this movie. bought the movie, still enjoy it from time to time …

  5. Courtin’ will do that, mighty distracting. Is it still courtin’ if a guy brings his wife flowers for no special occasion?

    1. Of course it is! Just because you’re married to her doesn’t mean you stop courting her.
      Glad you asked.

  6. That sounds just exactly like something I hear in your house these days with those two pretty girls and two sweet boyfriends!
