Paul and Pap have been working on the cd above for the last several years. Paul’s goal was for them to record as many of Pap’s original songs as they could. Pap’s written so many songs that Paul could make a boxed set of cds if they got them all recorded! Paul finally decided to put the 14 original songs they had completed on this cd and get it out there while he continued to work on the others.
The cd contains 13 original songs written by Pap, 1 written by Paul, 3 gospel standards, and one Instrumental Reprise of the first song on the cd.
The cds just arrived this week. As you might imagine, I’ve listened to little else since the day they came. The cd is really good. The addition of a keyboard on some of the tracks lends a different flavor to the music you usually hear from Pap and Paul.
Paul uploaded one of the songs to Youtube so folks could hear it. He’s planning on uploading a few of the others as well. Take a listen to Pap’s original song New Birth.

I have the CDs you sent me in my car I listen to them all the time. I am currently listening to Shepard of my soul CD. I am really enjoying them.
I also just got through reading the article from Homespun Devotions Inner Views on interviewing Paul. Tell Paul it was a very good interview. He did a fantastic job on his answers and gave a great glimpse into whom the man Paul Wilson is about and what matters the most to him and his life.

That was a Beautiful Song from the New Birth CD. I looked this up on youtube and saw the other beautiful girl in a white skirt and green top. (cut-off in the Blind Pig’s picture) (Tipper’s shy)
I was listening to the radio this morning on my cable channel and Jess (the radio DJ gal) played a request for Lonnie Dockery…”I Go To The Rock” by the Bowling Family. It was Good! Lonnie is going to have a “private” funeral, with Townson-Rose Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was 63. I will miss him…Ken

I loved hearing Pap and Paul singing (and the Wilsons/Pressleys playing) Pap’s original, “New Birth”! What a wonderful way to start an early Sunday morning. I love Pap’s writing and their singing/playing. How wonderful that Paul has captured these songs for us and for posterity! Thank all of you, and thanks for airing through Blind Pig!
